Bet On Sports Injunction Extended
The federal injunction against Bet On Sports taking bets from American residents will remain until the 31st of July.
Judge Catherine Perry has extended the July 17 ruling that is set to expire after ten days. The new hearing is scheduled for next Monday in St. Louis District Court.
The ban order is part of the case filed the US government to stop the US betting with BetOnSports.
All telephone companies are also ordered stopped by the FBI in relation to BetOnSports phone betting services.
The US Department of Justice has filed twenty two counts of indictment to executives of BetOnSports led by its CEO David Carruthers.
Meanwhile, BetOnSports in London sacked Carruthers as its Chief Executive Officer. Reports from the company said that by sacking Carruthers, they are hoping that the Justice Department will allow the website to reopen.
BetOnSports board, including three of British executive directors, is having meetings in Costa Rica about the negotiations with the US Justice Department.
The website shutdown is costing Bet On Sports four million US dollars a day.
The part on which the site will reopen is under negotiation.
